Saki-chan on my bed | 2004092601.jpg
Saki-chan insisted that I take a picture of her, so I did. Here she is sitting on my bed with this strange, faceless, yellow doll. ^__^

Too much rain for my foot | 2004092701.jpg
Today was the first day of school, and boy did it rain. As such, I wasn't able to really get any pictures of school itself... just the side-effects of walking for over an hour in the pouring rain. Boy, my feet were... ick. o_O;;

Around Takadanobaba 1 - Station | 2004092801.jpg
The rain let up a bit today, so I was able to get some pictures around the Takadanobaba station, which is where I get off/on the train to go to/come from Waseda campus. If you look carefully, you can see a train in there.

This is another shot of the station, just pulled out a little bit for a better view.

Around Takadanobaba 3 - Big Box | 2004092803.jpg
I know you've all seen the Big Box before, but this is another angle of it. It's big. And it's a box. See the connection? I don't. o_O *laughs* |

Around Takadanobaba 4 - Down the streets | 2004092804.jpg
This is a little sampler of what it's like to walk down the streets of Takadanobaba. Well, at least, what it looks like at one point. When people all have their umbrellas out, it's complete insanity. o_O;;

This looked cool, so I snapped a picture of it. Lots of pigeons... flying. ;)

Yoshitaka house | 2004092806.jpg
Here's a (rather dark) shot of the Yoshitaka's hosue from the outside. Looks pretty Western, eh? Well... it kind of is. *has to laugh*

Eating the kanji for eat | 2004092901.jpg
I guess this
wouldn't be funny unless you had some background knowledge on kanji.
The kanji 食 is basically the "food" kanji, and is used in words like
食べる (taberu, to eat) and 食事 (shokuji, meal). And here we have some... thing... eating the kanji for eat. I thought it was funny, anyway. |

Rain in Takadanobaba | 2004092902.jpg
When it rains
even the slightest bit in Japan, everyone and their aunt gets out their
umbrellas. While this picture doesn't do justice to the obscene amount
of umbralla-age that goes on around here, it at least gives you an idea
what a wet day in Japan is like. Yes, serious umbrella-age. |
